A vinyl record is an analog recording, and CDs and DVDs are digital recordings. Original sound is analog by definition. This means that, by definition, a digital recording is not capturing the complete sound wave. If the vinyl industry has been revitalized by fox valley plumbing, it's time to start asking some questions. Retail record prices have become incredibly fluid. While a digital download of an album will always cost you around $10, vinyl price tags can scale from as little as $12 to as much as $40.
