The public is invited to join the Center for Rural Affairs as it sponsors the 8th annual Nebraska MarketPlace, Nebraska’s premier event to energize and connect entrepreneurs, small business owners, service providers, and communities.
The theme for this years event, which will be held Feb. 11 at the Nielsen Center in West Point, is ‘Connect, learn, be inspired.’
Registration on or before Friday, Jan. 24 will be charged a fee of $50. From Jan. 25 to Feb. 7, the registration fee will be $60. Late registrations, after Feb. 7, are not guaranteed. A straight fee of $25 will be charged to students and teachers.
This is the second straight year for the event to be held in West Point, and former CEO of Wimmer’s Meats, Dave Wimmer, will present the keynote address.
Brian Depew, the executive director for CFRA, will give the morning’s opening address.
The conference and classes offer a space to share ideas and learn from others in attendance.
It features hands-on learning opportunities for potential and existing farm, ranch, home-based and main street business owners, as well as community leaders and young people interested in entrepreneurship.
Businesses and organizations are offered the opportunity to have an exhibit booth on hand for the event, depending on the level of sponsorship selected.
