The fun run will be sponsored by the Fire Department with registration at 11 a.m. and the run starting at noon. Emily Kumm is in charge. The VFW Auxiliary #5767 will serve a noon meal from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Candidates for the celebration king and queen are Vernon and Lois Schultz and Russ and Betty Jo Eschliman. The public will be voting at various places and the coronation will be held at 2:30 p.m. just prior to the parade. The beard contest will also be judged with winners being named just prior to the 3 p.m. parade. Judges are Ken Donner, Barry Meyer and Russ Kind.
