Dolores Colson - November 06, 2013
Dolores I. Colson, a long-time Oakland resident, passed away at Oakland Heights Nursing Home on Nov. 4, 2013, at the age of 91 years.
She is survived by a brother, Gordon, of Columbus; a daughter, Pam Kieckhafer and husband, Marv of Council Bluffs, Iowa; son, Tim Colson and wife Donna of West Point; son-in-law Burdette Greeny II of Port Angeles, Wash; four grandchildren, Chad Colson and wife Wendy of Palmyra, James Colson of West Point, Burdette Greeny III and wife Jennifer of Pullman, Wash., Karena Owen and husband, Dustin, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; granddaughter-in-law, Erica Paus of West Point; seven great-grandchildren, Makena Colson, Kaiah Colson, Cooper Colson, Lauren Greeny, Leah Greeny, Kale Owen, and Sydney Owen; and a nephew, Keith Colson and wife Naomi of Midland, Texas.
A memorial service was Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakland. Rev. Mark Eldal officiated. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Oakland Public Library, the Cardiac Department at the Oakland Mercy Hospital.
