Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.
10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.
Arlington shuts down Seniors West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Leo Overmohle - September 22, 2010

Leo G. Overmohle, 80, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Funeral Mass was Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial was in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake with full military rites by the Alta VFW Post #6172.
The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his children, Cindy and Jerry Hugo of West Point, Susan and Jim Garrett of Hampton, Iowa, Mike and Diane Overmohle of Storm Lake, Laurie Wilson of Storm Lake, Beth and Ron Rubendall of Fonda, Iowa, Barb and David Liske of Elkhart, Iowa, Nancy Pommrehn of Deltona, Fla., Bob and Beth of Storm Lake and Mary and Marty Barngrover of Sioux City, Iowa; 35 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, Luvern and Eileen Overmohle of Wapello, Iowa; five sisters, Rita and Fred Jansen of Storm Lake, Rosie and Francis Koch of Storm Lake, Mary and Dave Breon of Sperry, Iowa, Betty and Don Schmitt of Storm Lake and Lois Kestel of Schaller, Iowa; and special friend, Gayle Sundberg of Storm Lake.
