Family characteristics are often evident as sons and fathers gather for photos, when they speak, or in their actions.
Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.

10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award
Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.

Arlington shuts down Seniors
West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Lillian Anne Reznicek, 89, of Dodge, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge. A funeral Mass was Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with Rev. Patrick McLaughlin officiating. Burial was at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.Stokely Funeral Home of Dodge was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis (Maryland) Novacek of Linwood, LaVonne (James) Novak Dlouhy of Dodge, Donna and Billy Leonard of Broken Arrow, Okla., Pauline (Eric Hindman) Reznicek of Columbia, MD, and Sandra and Bill Sautter of Sioux City, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 14 step great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; sisters, Arlene Hegemann and Lorene Hegemann both of Howells; sisters-in-law, Joan Fendrick of Columbus, Wylma Reznicek of West Point, and Anna Kempf of Graettinger, Iowa.
Stokely Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
