Family characteristics are often evident as sons and fathers gather for photos, when they speak, or in their actions.
Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.

10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award
Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.

Arlington shuts down Seniors
West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Richard Faltin - February 09, 2011
Mass of Christian burial for Richard Faltin, 81, of Dodge, was Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. Interment with military honors was by the Dodge American Legion Post #122 in the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery. Richard passed away on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at the Parkview Home in Dodge.Survivors include his wife, LaVern Faltin of Dodge; son, Ron Faltin and Corene Meyer of Omaha; four daughters, Carolyn and Roger Holtzmann of Yankton, S.D., Jeanette and Doug Dunning of Apple Valley, Minn., Diane and Tony Dunning of Appleton, Wis., and Laura and Bob)Flottemesch of Neenah, Wis.; 19 grandchildren; and sister, Rosalyn Ritzdorf of Howells.
Memorials may be directed to the St. Wenceslaus School at 212 N. Linden St. Dodge, NE 68633.
Minnick Funeral Chapel, Dodge, was in charge of arrangements.
