Family characteristics are often evident as sons and fathers gather for photos, when they speak, or in their actions.
Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.

10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award
Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.

Arlington shuts down Seniors
West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Rose Ann Edwards, age 81, of Watertown, S.D., passed away on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown. Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011 at the Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Father Michael Wensing of the Immaculate Conception Church in Watertown officiated.She is survived by her children, Patrick (Susan) Edwards of Greenville, S.C., Michael (Lana) Edwards of Rapid City, S.D., Kathy (Rich) Asper of Marshfield, Wis., Carol (Marty) VanHeel of Watertown, S.D., Jim (Jossie) Edwards of Ruskin, Fla., and Judi Allen of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two brothers, Dick (Kitty) Prinz of Lincoln, and Bob (RoseAnne) Prinz of West Point; three sisters-in-law, Beata and Mildred Prinz of West Point, and Sharon Agress of Fremont; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
