Family characteristics are often evident as sons and fathers gather for photos, when they speak, or in their actions.
Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.

10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award
Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.

Arlington shuts down Seniors
West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Pauline Renner - November 16, 2011
Pauline M. Renner, 91, of Dodge, formerly of Aloys and Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 at Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge. A funeral Mass was Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Aloys. Graveside services were at Bella Vista, Ark. on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011.Memorials may be made to St. Aloysius Cemetery or Guardian Angels or Central Catholic Endowments.
Stokely Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include five daughters; Eileen (Steve) Brodie of Omaha, Loretta (Arnold) Baker of Kansas City, Mo., Cynthia Schlecht of Peoria, Ariz., Mary Renner of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Nancy (Roy) Hunter of Rogers, Ark.; two sons; Robert (Joleen) Renner of West Point, Warren (Rebecca) Renner of North Bend; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
