Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.
10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.
Arlington shuts down Seniors West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Lester “Pete” Field - November 30, 2011

Funeral services for Lester “Pete” Field, 71, of Norfolk and formerly of Wayne, were Monday, Nov. 28 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne with the Rev. Bob Oleson officiating. Internment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne.
He died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at his home in Norfolk.
Lester is survived by his children, John (Kathy) Field of Arvada, CO, Erich (Lisa) Field of Waseca, MN, Donn (Jenn) Field of Norfolk, Larry Field of Phoenix, AZ, Jarod Field of Washington, DC, Andrea (Jason) Genovesi of Taylorsville, UT, Carol Thelen of Stanton, Hilary (Doug) Hoffman of Norfolk, and Nikki (Rich) Heidemann of Albion; sister, Bonnie (Field) and Harvey Mohlfeld of Wayne; brothers, William Woehler (Linda Gamble) Robert (Mary) Woehler, all of Wayne, James (Donna) Field of New Jersey; sisters, Nina (Reed) and Dennis Spangler of Wayne, Betty Lou (Galen) Brewer of Austin, TX and Alice Kobe of Kansas City, KS; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
