Family characteristics are often evident as sons and fathers gather for photos, when they speak, or in their actions.
Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.

10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award
Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.

Arlington shuts down Seniors
West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Bob Siebrandt - March 28, 2012
Funeral services for Bob Siebrandt, 80, of Pilger, were Monday, March 26 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pilger. Interment was in the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Norfolk.Bob passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at his home.
Survivors include children, Randy and wife Renee Siebrandt of Hartington, Bruce Siebrandt and LaJean of Norfolk, Sheryl Yelli of Pierce and Merle Siebrandt of Norfolk; eighteen grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sister, Luella and husband Walden Rathke of Wisner; step-children, Roxanne and Stan Titman of Norfolk, Rosalind and Dan Painter of Norfolk and Victor and Gloria Miller of Omaha.
