Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.
10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.
Arlington shuts down Seniors West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Leroy Kreikemeier - May 30, 2012

Leroy H. Kreikemeier, 87, of Scribner formerly of Snyder died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point.
Survivors include his wife, Elinor of Scribner; children Richard and wife Cheryl Kreikemeier of Snyder, Patty Brooks and special friend Rick Bremmer of West Point, Randy Kreikemeier of Scribner, Gary and wife Judy Baumert of Scribner, Linda and husband Gary Lund of Norfolk, Joyce and husband Phil Chiarelli of Liberty, Mo., Glenn and wife Lynn Baumert of Wahoo, Ron and wife Tammie Baumert of Fremont; sister, Edna Wieneke of West Point; brothers, Art and wife Bernice Kreikemeier of Dodge, Dennis and wife Doris Kreikemeier of West Point; 7 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 14 step great-grandchildren.
The funeral Mass was Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Scribner. The Rev. Damien Wee and Deacon Jr. Pribnow officiated. Burial was in St. Leo’s Catholic Cemetery in Snyder.
Memorials are suggested to St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the Scribner Volunteer Fire or Rescue Departments.
Ludvigsen’s Scribner Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
