Wilma Wellman, 89, of West Point, died June 29, 2012, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. A funeral Mass was Monday, July 2, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rev. Gerald Gonderinger officiated with burial to be at St. Michael’s Cemetery at a later date.
Stokely Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Aloys, St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Snyder or West Point Community Theatre.
Survivors include children, Marjorie (Kenneth) Batenhorst of West Point, Jerry (Shelley) of Beemer, Robert (Julie) of Spokane, Wash., Tom (Gloria) of Beemer, Dennis (Connie) of Mead, David (Laurie) of Lincoln, Janet (Brian) Allison of Lincoln, Diane (Barclay) Hunt of Lincoln, and Mark (Shawna) of Columbus; brothers, Victor (Irene) Schlautman of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Norbert (Camilla) Schlautman of West Point, Florin (Sally) Schlautman of Loveland, Colo., Joe Schlautman of Fremont, Virgil Schlautman of West Point, and Edwin “Dusty” (Lorraine) Schlautman of West Point; 36 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
