Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.
10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.
Arlington shuts down Seniors West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Frieda Hermelbracht - August 01, 2012

Frieda Hermelbracht, 85, of Sioux Falls, S.D., passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls, S.D. Funeral services were Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bancroft. Pastor Philip Hale officiated. Burial was in the Bancroft Cemetery.
Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft, was in charge of arrangements.
Frieda is survived by sons, David Hermelbracht of Gainesville, Fla., and Charles Hermelbracht and his wife Julia of Bartow, Fla.; daughters, Connie White and her husband Gary of Fairport, N.Y., and Nancy Bott and her husband Steve of Renner, S.D.; a sister, Ruth Schaub; and a brother, the Rev. Ed Eggert and his wife Ruth as well as eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, and special friends Jim Tillman and Evie James.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 501 Park, Street, Bancroft, NE 68004, or to Bethany Lutheran Home, 1901 Holly Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57108.
