Family characteristics are often evident as sons and fathers gather for photos, when they speak, or in their actions.
Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.

10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award
Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.

Arlington shuts down Seniors
West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Eileen Bose - October 24, 2012
Eileen Eva Bose, 91, of Snyder, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, in Nye Pointe Health and Rehab in Fremont. A funeral Mass was Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Snyder. Burial was at St. Leo’s Cemetery.Stokely Funeral Home of West Point was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society Relay For Life.
She is survived by sons, Byron (Lois) Renter of Snyder, LaVern (Rosemary) Renter of San Antonio, Texas, and Stephen (Carol) Renter of Fremont; daughters, LaDonna (Jim) Scheppers of Longmont, Colo., LaMaar (Leonard) Scheppers of Gering, and LaZelle (Kenneth Dolezal) Hunke of North Bend; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Arlene Smeal of Dodge, Ardith Smeal of Snyder and Loretta Smeal of Snyder.
