Family characteristics are often evident as sons and fathers gather for photos, when they speak, or in their actions.
Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.

10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award
Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.

Arlington shuts down Seniors
West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Funeral services for Betty Myers, age 96, of Glendale, Ariz., formerly of Wisner, will be on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at the United Methodist Church of Christ in Wisner with interment in the Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and will continue on Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.Betty passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in Glendale, Ariz.
Survivors include son, Robert (Bob) and wife Patricia Myers of Glendale, Ariz., and family, Brent and wife Michelle Myers of Omaha and children Justin, Joel, Jakob and Emma, Chris and wife Christine Myers of Omaha, Lynn Myers of Omaha, Kelly Myers of Scottsdale, Ariz.; son Richard and wife Candy Myers of Thornton, Colo., and son Randy Myers of Thornton, Colo.; nieces and nephews.
