Family characteristics are often evident as sons and fathers gather for photos, when they speak, or in their actions.
Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.

10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award
Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.

Arlington shuts down Seniors
West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Clifford Obermeyer - January 02, 2013
Funeral services for Clifford Obermeyer, 96 of Wisner were Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at the Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner. Interment was in the Wisner Cemetery.Clifford passed away on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Clifford is survived by his wife of 73 years, Alvina; three children and their spouses, Janice and Dallas Puls of Norfolk, John and Lee Obermeyer of Hoskins, and Jim and Marty Obermeyer of Littleton, CO; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner was in charge of the arrangements.
