Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.
10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.
Arlington shuts down Seniors West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Patsy Bloedorn - January 16, 2013

Memorial services for Patsy A. Bloedorn, age 63, of West Point, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point. Visitation will be on Friday from noon until 8 p.m., with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point.
Patsy passed away on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at her home.
Survivors include children and their families, daughter Jenny and husband Mark McKain of West Point and sons Joshua and Isaac, daughter Holly and husband Matt Cardwell of West Point and son Mekiah; son Don and wife Julie Bloedorn of Grand Island and children Elizabeth and Orion; Step-father Robert (Bucky) Kindschuh of West Point; parents-in-law Cecil and LaVerne Bloedorn of West Point; sisters Vicki and husband Verlyn Furchert of West Point, Robin Baer of Cedar Bluffs; brothers Roger and wife Sharon Neeman of Estherville, Iowa, Robert and wife Renee Kindschuh of Wakefield.
