Family characteristics are often evident as sons and fathers gather for photos, when they speak, or in their actions.
Lonnie and Twyla Schultz expected some traits of theirs to pass to their four children, but they didn’t expect to see their three sons wearing the same work uniform as their father.

10 local EMT’s earn Code Save award
Ten members of West Point Rescue received Code Save Awards at their monthly meeting last Wednesday.
The award is presented to EMS providers who saved a life during CPR and/or defibrillation. It is presented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, EMS Program.

Arlington shuts down Seniors
West Point’s lack of offense left the American Legion Senior baseball team on the short end of a shutout setback to Arlington, losing 2-0 Monday evening at Anderson Field.
West Point managed just three hits off winning pitcher Mitch Thompson. Derek Grovijohn singled in the first inning, Cody Fischer in the third, and Trent Ortmeier in the fourth.

Kathleen M. Ernesti, 80, of West Point died Friday, July 30, 2010, at Fremont Area Medical Center. A funeral Mass was Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rev. Frank Lordemann officiated.Memorials may be made to Guardian Angels Endowment.
Survivors include children, Margaret “Peggy” and Clifford Walker, of Cozad, Glenn and Patti Ernesti, Jeff Ernesti, Sarah and Steve Rief all of West Point, Linda Ueding and Phillip Ernesti both of Omaha, Susan and Randy Ratliff of Lincoln and Sandra and Steve Blank of Arcadia, Calif.; sister, Mary and Marius Baumert and brother, Jack Miller both of Dodge; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Stokely Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
