Cuming County’s Board of Supervisors will be keeping a close eye on the bids for work relating to the new Elkhorn River bridge south of Beemer after information shared by County Highway Superintendent Chris Howser last week.

Howser said the goal remains for the project to be let for bids this fall. Howser said that in talking with Cuming County Public Power District (CCPPD), the estimate the county received from engineers for removing and replacing power poles is about half of what CCPPD estimated the work will cost.
