The Cuming County Board of Supervisors last week approved a property tax request of $3,343,462 for 2019-2020, which is a $226,780 increase over what the county requested in both 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.

The tax request combined with the $48 million drop in the county’s property valuation means the county’s tax levy will increase to 12.7 cents per $100 of taxable valuation from 11.62 cents assessed in 2018.
