It was an icing to remember. And one to forget.

The ice that coated trees and power lines late last Monday night into Tuesday morning knocked out electrical service to many in West Point and the area and caused significant tree damage.

West Point City Administrator Tom Goulette said between 370 and 400 service lines to homes were pulled down when the tree limbs started falling under the weight of the ice.
