Former attorney John Feller, who was accused of misappropriating client funds and was disbarred in 2018 after voluntarily surrendering his law license pleaded no contest last week to theft by unlawful taking, a Class III A felony.

Sixth Judicial District Court Judge Geoffrey Hall accepted the plea, which is considered a guilty plea by the courts, and sentenced Feller to 12 months probation and ordered him to pay restitution in the amount of $22,003.09 to the Clerk of the District Court of Cuming County.
