Making the cut

Most high school youths who rodeo have been doing some form of it since they were able to sit on a horse.

Then there is 18-year-old West Point’s Ashton Troyer, who didn’t saddle a horse until she was a freshman in high school. Four years later she’s headed to the National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR) in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She will compete in girls cutting Sunday, July 14, and again Saturday, July 20.
