Landon Haskenkamp

Landon Hasenkamp of Beemer is running for the International Liaison position and competing with the National Reining Horse Youth Association (NRHyA) at the North American Affiliate Championship, in Oklahoma City this week.

He will also be giving an interview and presenting a speech at the Youth National meeting.

The voting will be open from November 30- December 2 and is open for all active youth members of NRHyA.

He will be competing this week in the Intermediate Non-Pro class, Rookie Level 1 & 2, as well as the Youth 14-18 classes.

Last year, Landon received 14th place in the Intermediate Non-Pro class with a score of 213.5 out of 142 riders. He competed in the Rookie Level 1, North American Affiliate Championship class where he scored 213.5 and was awarded 9th place out of 131 riders. With this award he was able to compete in the final Rookie of the Year Showdown where only the top 10 placings were able to compete for a saddle and $5,000. In the Rookie of the Year Showdown he placed 6th with a score of 207.5. Landon’s final ride at the show was in the Youth 14-18 class where he won 2nd place with another 213.5 score. In the youth class there were 84 riders from across North America.
