The 18th annual Relay for Life of the Cuming County Area is Friday at the Nielsen Community Center in West Point.

The group has a goal of $80,000 for this year.

The evening begins with the Survivor Caregiver meal registration at 4:30 p.m. The meal is served from 5 until 5:45 p.m.

The opening ceremony is at 6 p.m. with a Survivors Lap followed by the Caregivers Lap. During the evening a Signs of Hope Auction and a Silent Auction will be underway at the center.

The Signs of Hope Auction is open for bidding from 5 until 8 p.m. The Silent Auction will run from 5 until 8:30 p.m.

Activities also include kids games. With the theme Stompin’ Out Cancer, the kids will be making horses out of pool noodles.
