A roof collapse at the Snyder Post Office has left the village seeking a short-term solution, while also putting the long-term future of a Snyder office in question.

The roof issue has made the Snyder Post Office unsuitable for occupancy by the USPS safety department standards.

Now the fate of the building, which is more than 100 years old, rests on the shoulders of the landlord, who will be given a chance to either restore the building or have the postal service look for a new home.
