Determining the cause of the spike in manganese levels in West Point’s water took longer than many thought it should, and the remedy won’t come as soon as anyone wants. That was one takeaway from last night’s West Point City Council meeting, when the city’s water issue was again front and center.

On hand last night to answer questions from the council and public about the advisory issued last Wednesday by the State Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) were Sue Dempsey and Chin Chew.
