The Cuming County Board of Supervisors approved a property tax increase of $291,427 for the new budget year when it met Tuesday morning for the required public budget hearing. No one from the public attended to comment.

The budget includes a tax request of $3,691,980, which is up from last year’s request, of $3,400,553. The county’s tax levy will increase by one cent from this year’s levy, to 13.5 cents per $100 of taxable valuation.
