It’s been a few years since hams were smoked at a food processing plant in West Point. But they are once more, thanks to Quality Pork International, which came to West Point two years ago.
QPI is also making a variety of chicken products and pet treats at the facility that once housed Wimmer’s Meats and later Land O’Frost. QPI smoked deboned hams in the weeks leading up to Christmas and again this month for the expected demand for Easter.
