This morning in Cuming County District Court, Jody Olson was sentenced to 40-60 years in prison for his role in the March 2017 death of Ernest Warnock of rural Rosalie.

Also this morning in the same court, Jody Olson’s son, Derek Olson, was also sentenced to 40-60 years in Warnock’s death.

Both men will be credited for time already served: 858 days for Derek and 833 days for Jody. Derek can be eligible for parole in 21 years, and Jody can be eligible for parole in 20 years.
