The days of a West Point police officer writing a speeding ticket may soon be over.
That doesn’t mean speeders will be let off easy. They will still be ticketed, but those citations just won’t be handwritten. They will instead come from a printer in the patrol car.
It’s been two weeks since the West Point Police Department switched to electronic citations and warnings. And soon, the same equipment and software will be used for accident reports.
