Last Wednesday afternoon, the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) released an update on ongoing efforts to convert the remaining 48 miles of US-275 between Norfolk and Fremont from a two-lane highway to a four-lane expressway.
The update wasn’t good news for those expecting work on the expressway to be done anytime soon. Local residents likely remember that, back in July of 2018, Gov. Pete Rickets told a gathering in West Point that work on the expressway from Scribner to West Point would begin in 2019.
