That proposed water rate hike that was on and then off the City Council agenda last May will likely return. How soon is the unknown.

During last week’s council meeting, West Point City Administrator Tom Goulette noted that the city will eventually need to adjust the rates for city water customers because of the work involving the installation of three new water filters at the water treatment plant and work yet to be done on replacing some of the water mains in the city.
