The City of West Point last week received approval from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for the plans and specifications for the city’s water filter system, piping and backwash discharge at the water treatment plant.
The plan also includes the removal of existing filters, piping and equipment. The approval letter was signed by the DHHS on January 15. That approval means the city can proceed with bids for the work to be done at the water treatment plant, and the city began seeking bids this week.
