The City of West Point’s local sales tax collections continue to grow, and for the first time since the local sales tax was begun the total netted by the city during its fiscal year has surpassed $1 million. In fiscal year 2018-2019, West Point collected $1,043,168.

The city collected more than $90,000 in sales tax receipts in six separate months this fiscal year, the highest mark being set in October of 2018, when the city’s sales tax generated $93,885.
