In a normal year, West Point’s swimming pool would be planning to open the last week of May. But the state’s directed health measures still in place won’t make that possible, City Administrator Tom Goulette said this week.

Goulette said chances are good that the pool won’t be able to open at all this summer because of the restrictions in place to help curb the spread of COVID-19.

Governor Pete Ricketts on Tuesday said that he will have more answers for municipal swimming pools closer to the end of the month.
