Funeral services for Ferne W. Moeller, 100, of West Point will be held on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 11 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in West Point with Pastor Priscilla Hukki officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service in the church fellowship hall with burial to follow in the Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Ferne passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hillside Villa in West Point.
Survivors include-son-Lynn and Sandra Moeller of Tulsa, OK and family-Krista and Mike Finnegan and children-Heather and Ryan; Jeffrey and Tammy Moeller and children-Benjamin, Megan and Kate; son-Robert and Mary Beth Moeller of North Kingstown, RI and children-Abigail Moeller, William Moeller; daughter-in-law- Nylotis Moeller of Cedar Rapids, IA and family-Jean and Mike Stack and children-Lauren, Andrew and William, Jill Lande and children Jenae and Julian, Jodi and Bryan Nordstrom and children-Bentley, Boden and Nyla, sister-in-law-Erdine Moeller of Wisner and several nieces and nephews also survive Ferne.
Ferne was preceded in death by her parents-George and Hattie Luther, husband-Leo in 1994, son-Gary, three sisters-Esther Albers, Mamie Albers, and Ella Von Seggern, and two brothers-Ed and Otto Luther.
The family suggests that memorials be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, St. Joseph’s Retirement Community or St. Joseph’s Hillside Villa.
