Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph J. Kreikemeier, age 89 of West Point, were held Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point, with Father Steve Emanuel as celebrant. Interment with military honors was at St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Joe passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hillside Villa.

He is survived by his wife, Viola, to whom he was married for 68 years; his children and their families:

Daughter, Joleen (Bob) Renner of West Point, and family: Sandra (Steve) Peaslee and children, Noah, Olive, and Gabe; Brian Renner and Ashley and son Clyde; Michael (Vicky) Renner and children, Trevor, Tanner, Taylie, Sebastian, Danielle and Mateo; Christopher (Gladys) Renner and children, Logan, Esther, Alex, and Adriel;

Son, Steven Kreikemeier (deceased) and his family: Katrina (Ricardo) Poupolo and children, Blake and Lila; Tyler (Jessica) Kreikemeier and children, Brynne, Claire, and Hank Steven; Nathan (Taylor) Kreikemeier;

Daughter, Vicki (Randy) Hasemann of North Bend, and family: Kyndra Hasemann and Mike Tasset; Mallory (Mathew) Hollman and children, Emberly and Axten; Spenser Hasemann;

Daughter, Judy (Bill) Luebbert of West Point, and family: Megan (Jeromy) Beed and children, Brock, Harper and Marshall; Sarah (Adam) Strehle and children, Jax, Eli and Kye; Jodie (Josh) Persson and son Liam;

Son, Tim (LaVone) Kreikemeier of Snyder;

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Elsie Kreikemeier; parents-in-law, Ben and Catherine Knust; son, Steven Kreikemeier; brother, Pat Kreikemeier; brothers-and sisters-in-law, Bernard Pieper, Judy (Jim) Kreikemeier, Joyce (Marvin) Kreikemeier, Joe Irene (Knust) Prusa, Frank and Alvina (Knust) Kreikemeier, Donald and Evelyn (Knust) Peitzmeier, Harold and LaRose (Knust) Meister, Ray Ortmeier and Dennis Knust.
