Lloyd Jerome Meyer, third son of Edwin and Martha (Fauth) Meyer, died suddenly April 10, 2001. He was born May 22, 1943.

He attended Zion Lutheran School where he was baptized and confirmed and graduated from West Point High School in 1961.

After completing training at DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago he worked briefly at the Meyer Electric business in West Point. In 1967 he joined the United States Navy, graduated from Purdue University and served aboard nuclear submarines. He ended his Naval service in 1984 and eventually returned to Nebraska, working in the Omaha area.

He, like his brother Delwin, sang with the Cuming Choraliers for a few years, plus played trumpet with a local dance band during his high school years.

In 1966 he married Judy Stambaugh of Milroy, Pa., from which union two sons, Michael and Andrew were born.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his second wife, Betty.
