Elsewhere on this week’s View Point page is a column about Sunshine Week written by Ken Paulson, Director of the Free Speech Center at Middle Tennessee State. His thoughts are good ones at this time in our nation when there are cases of more governments doing business behind closed doors.
On the local level, we are happy to report that the school board, city council and county board do a good job avoiding improper executive sessions. Readers may recall that in January we opined about the need for the West Point City Council to discuss negotiations with the Cuming County Ag Society in open session rather than in executive session.
