The new year is just two weeks old but already “water” is shaping up to be the main topic for 2022.

Consider that Governor Pete Ricketts and several other elected officials spent an hour discussing proposals to strengthen Nebraska’s water resources and build a large lake between Omaha and Lincoln. (See page 5 for story about those proposals).

Also worth mentioning is a five-part series on public health and water quality being presented online by the University of Nebraska’s Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources and UNL Water.
