Bluejays take bronze

Taking care of the basketball was a big priority for Guardian Angels Central Catholic. With 20 turnovers, there were times that didn’t happen. But down the stretch, the Bluejays produced some valuable possessions. As a result, GACC was able to pull out a 54-42 win over Battle Creek in the girls Mid-State Conference basketball tournament’s 3rd-place game Saturday at Wayne State College.

“Battle Creek is a good team. They force you into a lot of mistakes,” Bluejay head coach Jerry Stracke said. “They are one of the best teams I’ve seen at being able to capitalize on your turnovers.”
