Facing an eight-run deficit, and down to their final six outs of the game, not many people may have given West Point-Beemer a chance. But Cadet head softball coach Scott Anderson wasn’t one of those people. He knew what his team was capable of doing.

Despite a valiant effort, West Point-Beemer’s rally fell a few runs short as Ashland-Greenwood held on for a 14-12 win over the Cadets in an elimination game of the B-4 District tournament Monday at Cortland.
