A big-time bounce-back performance on day two of the Class C Girls State golf tournament Tuesday at Lake Maloney Golf Club in North Platte vaulted West Point-Beemer sophomore Brook Diekemper to a 5th-place finish.

It was a tough-luck day for Diekemper on Monday’s opening day of state as she settled for a 91. The Cadet sophomore, however, turned things around on day two with a 79 for a two-day total of 170.
