Cadets steal win

Whenever West Point-Beemer was able to set up their full-court press, good things happened for the Cadet girls basketball team.

And it was the Cadets’ defensive pressure that resulted in a school record 29 steals during West Point-Beemer’s 49-23 home win over Fort Calhoun last week Tuesday.

“I thought we did a great job of being physical and aggressive with our press,” Cadet head coach Taylor Shepard said. “That was a real driving force for us, and sparked our offense.”
