Four years ago, Hayden Throener attended a Lincoln Stars game with his family. Watching that live action on the ice sparked an immediate interest in the sport. From that moment forward, Hayden was hooked on hockey.

“Over the next couple of weeks, I started playing [hockey] with a broom and a ball,” Hayden said.

Not long after that, Hayden traded in his broom for a stick, and the ball in for a puck. His love for the sport was in full gear.
