Plating some early runs gave West Point the boost they needed to capture a 10-5 win over Fort Calhoun in American Legion Junior baseball action Friday at Anderson Field.

West Point delivered a productive 1st inning with four runs. They proceeded to push across four more runs over the next two innings for an 8-2 lead.

Fort Calhoun didn’t go away quietly as they scored three unanswered runs, which trimmed their deficit to 8-5. But West Point closed the door on Calhoun’s hopes of a rally with a two-run 6th inning to secure the win.
