Cadet junior Reece Snodgrass knocked home a dramatic three-point buzzer beater to close out the first quarter. Then a Snodgrass free throw to open the second quarter gave West Point-Beemer its first lead of the game. The Cadets never trailed again in a 47-35 win over Milford in the C1-7 District finals Friday night at Fremont High School to qualify for state.
“We knew that Milford had a very experienced team. They’ve been in this situation before. We talked before the game about the importance of not riding the highs or riding the lows. We just needed to play our game,” Cadet head coach Taylor Shepard said.
