WP-B’s Mason Kreinert holds an early lead in the 800-meter run.

En route to a third-place team finish, the West Point-Beemer boys track team captured three gold medals at their home Snowmelt Invite last Thursday.

Cadet Brandon Mitzel captured the two-mile title with a time of 5:06.81. Edgar Rodriguez was the 400-meter dash champ, clocking a winning time of 52.13. And Jax Jacobson was a gold medalist in pole vault. He cleared 10-6 to win that event.
